Scratch To Win Rewards
The Promoters for this Irish Independent Rewards Programme is Mediahuis Ireland of 27-32 Talbot Street, Dublin 1 and the Administrator is Kasulabo trading as Sweete with a registered offer at 3 Harmony Court, Harmony Row, Dublin 2 (the “Promoters”). Eligibility is determined by Mediahuis and Sweete in accordance with these terms and conditions. The Promoters’ determination in respect thereof shall be final.
Terms and Conditions – General
  1. Irish Independent Rewards is open to selected Independent.ie subscribers only.
  2. The following terms and conditions apply to the Irish Independent Rewards Programme which includes Discounted Offers, Surprise & Delight Offers and Scratch To Win monthly promotion (the “Competition). By availing of this programme and its promotions and offers, you are accepting the terms and conditions.
  3. To avail of the Irish Independent Rewards Programme, customers must enter their unique code on the homepage www.mediahuisrewards.com/IrishIndependent . Once a customer has entered their unique code (identifier) they will have access to the programme which includes Discounted Offers, Surprise & Delight Offers and entry into the Scratch To Win monthly promotions.
  4. Discounted Offers allows customers to purchase cinema tickets and retail gift cards at discounted prices as well as other discounted offers nationwide, until the Promoters end these offers.
  5. Surprise & Delight Offers are issued at the sole discretion of the Promoters from time to time and availability and eligibility for such offers are subject to change without prior notice.
  6. Scratch To Win is a monthly promotion (“Competition”) where customers can scratch a virtual scratch card to reveal whether they have won a Reward Prize. Eligible Customers can win from a range of prizes more particularly detailed in the Reward Prize Schedule below.
  7. Prizes will be allocated only to entries that satisfy the entry requirements outlined in these terms.
  8. The allocation of Reward Prizes will be automatically determined by the Administrator’s electronic systems in accordance with an algorithm employed by the Administrator to ensure fair and random selection. Prizes will be pre-selected to be awarded to Entrants based on what point they randomly enter the Competition (e.g. a particular Prize may be pre-selected to be awarded to the 500th Entrant). The Administrator reserves the right to vary the pre-selected entry points for Prizes based on the response rates and level of entries to the Competition. The decision of the Administrator in respect of the allocation of Prizes is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  9. If a customer has won a Scratch To Win prize, they will be sent an email which includes further instructions on how to claim their free Reward Prize. To claim the free Reward Prize, the customer may have to accept additional terms and conditions.
  10. In the event that a customer fails to claim their free Reward Prize issued via email by the expiry date stated on same email, he or she shall forthwith relinquish any right or entitlement to the free Reward Prize. The Promoter and Administrator does not accept any responsibility if a customer is not able to take up the free reward.
  11. This offer is non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash or goods. Cash value €0.001c.
  12. The Promoters can accept no liability for loss or damage to personal possessions or injuries or other incidents to customers which may occur in connection with this promotion.
  13. The Promoters decision in respect of any matter concerning this promotion is final and shall be binding on all participants. No correspondence will be entered into.
  14. The Promoter and/or subsidiaries, agents and associates will not be responsible if any establishment breaches its contract, however we will make reasonable efforts to secure compliance.
  15. By entering this Competition, each Entrant consents to their data being provided to the Administrator for the purposes of processing entries, contacting customers and issuing reward prizes.

Terms and Conditions General - Discounted Cinema
  1. The Irish Independent Rewards allows Irish Independent subscription customers to purchase cinema ticket codes at a discounted price until the Promoters ends this offer.
  2. This offer is available to all Irish Independent subscription customers. Customers who wish to avail of the cinemas tickets codes should enter their unique code and click through to the Discounted Cinema link on the Irish Independent Rewards website.
  3. The Irish Independent Rewards cinema ticket codes apply to all public paid advertised screenings, excluding premieres, 3-D movies, special events or events not open to the public and other private screenings, in participating cinemas. Cinema ticket codes are not valid on 3D, IMAX, ISENSE, Gallery, Dolby, Premier seats and/or any other premium priced seat.
  4. A maximum of 6 adult and 6 child cinema ticket codes can be purchased together. When purchasing a child cinema ticket code, a minimum requirement of 1 adult cinema ticket code must also be purchased.
  5. The cinema ticket codes will be issued via email to the email address provided by the customer when purchasing their cinema ticket codes. The email will be sent from noreply@sweete.ie, customers should check their inbox and also their junk/spam folders.
  6. Once validated, the cinema ticket code(s) in the email cannot be used again. Once cinema ticket code(s) are purchased, no refunds are permitted.
  7. The cinema ticket codes are valid at all cinemas listed for purchase on the site in the Republic of Ireland.
  8. The cinema ticket codes are subject to availability, normal age restrictions and any other relevant standard terms including all participating cinemas general admission terms.
  9. The cinema ticket codes have no cash value (€0.001c). The cinema ticket codes cannot be used to buy 3D glasses, gift cards, food, drink, or any other goods or services.
  10. The Promoters reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend this Cinema Offer and/or review and revise these terms at any time without giving prior notice and by continuing to take part in the Cinema Offer subsequent to any revision of these terms. Irish Independent subscription customers shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.
  11. All cinema ticket codes are valid for 3 months from the date of issue and the expiry date will be stated on the email.
  12. Prices vary at each cinema and prices start from €6.50 for one adult cinema ticket and €4 for one child cinema ticket. When you select your chosen cinema, you will be presented with the cost.

Terms and Conditions - Adult & Child Cinema Tickets
  1. The Irish Independent Rewards Discounted cinema offer applies to all public paid advertised screenings, in participating cinemas, excluding premieres, 3-D movies, special events or events not open to the public and other private screenings. Cinema ticket codes are not valid on 3D, IMAX, ISENSE, Gallery, Dolby, Premier seats and/or any other premium priced seat.
  2. Once Adult/Child cinema ticket code(s) are purchased, you will receive your cinema ticket code(s) via email which must be presented at the cinema box office when booking your seat(s).
  3. This offer is not available when booking in advance by whatever means. You cannot book online at any time or in the cinema in person in advance.
  4. The email will be accepted and validated by the box office staff.
  5. Once validated, the cinema ticket code(s) in the email cannot be used again. Once cinema ticket code(s) are purchased, no refunds are permitted.
  6. Participating cinemas cannot offer a cash alternative and this offer may not be used in conjunction with any other offer unless stated by your chosen cinema.
  7. Cinema tickets are complimentary and have a zero cash value. €0.001c.
  8. Participating cinemas will only accept cinema ticket code(s) sent via email and presented on your mobile device or printed out.
  9. The specific Cinema’s standard terms and conditions of purchase, sale and entry apply.

Terms and Conditions Gift Cards - Discounted Gift Cards
Airbnb
  1. You must have an Airbnb account in good standing to use a e-Gift Card. You can add a e-Gift Card to your Airbnb account by visiting airbnb.ie/gift (Ireland). Upon adding a e-Gift Card to your Airbnb account, the entire e-Gift Card value will be shown on your Airbnb account as your Gift Card balance. Gift Card balances may only be redeemed towards the purchase of services provided via Airbnb Ireland UC and its affiliates via the Airbnb Platform. Any booking made with a Gift Card will be deducted from your Gift Card balance, and any unused Gift Card balance will remain on your Airbnb account until used. If a purchase exceeds your existing Gift Card balance, the remaining amount due must be paid with another Payment Method. You can view your Gift Card balance by signing in to your Airbnb account.
  2. Gift Cards purchased in Europe can only be used by individuals residing in Ireland. You must also have a valid payment method issued in the country where you reside.
  3. Gift Cards may not be applied towards charges for changes to existing reservations or be used to purchase other Gift Cards. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value or redeemed for cash, except to the extent required by law. For Gift Cards purchased online (but not in-store), you have a right of withdrawal (sometimes referred to as a "cooling-off period") for 14 days after purchase. Once a Gift Card is added to your Airbnb account, this ends the cooling-off period immediately, and the Gift Card’s value cannot be transferred to another person or Airbnb account; a Gift Card balance on an Airbnb account may not be cashed out or transferred to another Airbnb account.
  4. You should treat Gift Cards like cash. Once we electronically transmit a digital Gift Card to the purchaser or designated recipient or deliver a physical Gift Card to the purchaser or designated recipient, whichever is applicable, the risk of loss and title for Gift Cards pass to the purchaser or designated recipient. We are not responsible if any Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without your permission.
  5. Airbnb reserves the right to any remedy, including refusal to issue or honour a Gift Card, in the event of suspected fraud. We will have the right to close a member’s account and charge alternative Payment Methods if a fraudulently obtained Gift Card is redeemed and/or used to make purchases on the Airbnb Platform.
  6. Your rights under a Gift Card will terminate if you materially fail to comply with these Gift Card Terms or if your Airbnb account is terminated or is suspended. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Gift Card, and we may revoke your access to any Gift Card balance. Our failure to insist upon or enforce your strict compliance with these Gift Card Terms will not constitute a waiver of any of our rights.
  7. No fees of any kind apply to Gift Cards, and Gift Cards and Gift Card balances do not expire.
Aldi
  1. Aldi Gift Cards can be used in any Aldi store in the Republic of Ireland.
  2. Aldi Gift Cards should be treated as you would treat cash.
  3. Aldi Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash, change, Aldi Gift Cards or alternative gift cards.
  4. Aldi Gift Cards cannot be used for the purchase of Aldi Gift Cards or third party gift cards, lottery tickets, scratch cards or related material; or anything through Aldi’s websites.
  5. Aldi Gift Cards are only valid for five years from the date they are purchased (any amount left on an Aldi Gift Card after this date shall be forfeited without notice to you).
  6. Retail gift cards are sent via email once order has been placed.
  7. There are no refunds or return on gift cards.
  8. Aldi gift cards are valid for use for 5 years from the date of issue.
Amazon
  1. This gift entitles the bearer to a Amazon e-Gift Card.
  2. This voucher is available for use on www.amazon.co.uk or other Amazon stores as designated by us from time to time (such as Amazon 4-star).
  3. Purchases are deducted from the redeemer's Gift Card balance. Any unused Gift Card balance will be placed in the redeemer's Amazon.co.uk account. If a purchase exceeds the redeemer's Gift Card balance, the remaining amount must be paid with another payment method.
  4. Gift cards cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your legal rights. The balance cannot be converted into cash.
  5. Amazon are not responsible if any Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without your permission.
  6. Amazon gift cards are valid for use for 10 years from the date of purchase.
  7. All Amazon e-gift cards purchased are converted from EUR – GBP upon purchase.

  1. This gift entitles the bearer to a Arnotts e-Gift Card.
  2. Arnotts e-Gift Card can be used in Arnotts and Brown Thomas stores as well as online at arnotts.ie and brownthomas.com.
  3. The Arnotts e-Gift Card is not a credit card, charge card, or cheque guarantee card.
  4. Valid Arnotts e-Gift Cards may only be used as full or part payment for good in Arnotts and Brown Thomas stores, BT2 stores, as well as online at brownthomas.com and arnotts.ie
  5. Arnotts e-gift cards will be sent via email once your order has been placed.
  6. Please keep your e-Gift Card safe, Brown Thomas Group expressly excludes all liability for lost, stolen and damaged gift cards.
  7. Arnotts e-Gift Cards have no expiry date.
Arsenal
  1. The Gift Cards can be redeemed at Retail Stores or on the Online Store. Using a Gift Card balance to purchase Arsenal match tickets or memberships is not permitted.
  2. If your purchase amount is less than the balance on the Gift Card, the unused balance will be carried over and can be used for purchases later.
  3. If your purchase amount exceeds the value of the balance on the Gift Card, the remaining amount must be paid with another acceptable tender.
  4. You can check the balance of your Gift Card at any Retail Store or on the Online Store.
  5. When making a purchase in a Retail Store using a Gift Card that is not Pound Sterling, Arsenal will apply a currency exchange rate at the time of purchase. If a refund is later requested, the currency equivalent of the refund may not be equal to the currency equivalent of the original purchase amount, due to fluctuations in currency exchange rates. There may therefore be either a residual windfall or shortfall on the Gift Card. If there is a shortfall, the remaining amount must be paid with another acceptable tender.
  6. Gift Cards and/or any unused balance cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash. 7. The Gift Cards should be handled like cash. Arsenal is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Cards. The Gift Cards can be used by anyone in possession of the Gift Card and Arsenal personnel are not obliged to check the identity of a person using the Gift Card. Gift Cards will not be replaced if lost or stolen.

  1. Your Gift Card can only be used to make purchases online at boohooMan.com in the Republic of Ireland.
  2. If the amount of your Online Gift Certificate(s) does NOT cover the total order amount, you will need to pay the remainder of the purchase.
  3. If the amount of your Online Gift Certificate(s) is for MORE than the total order amount, the balance will be stored with your boohooMAN.com account for your next purchase using the same Gift Certificate code.
  4. Online Gift Certificates are non-transferable, non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash.
  5. We cannot replace lost or stolen Online Gift Certificates.

  1. This gift entitles the bearer to a Brown Thomas Gift Card.
  2. Valid Brown Thomas e-Gift Cards may only be used as full or part payment for good in Arnotts and Brown Thomas stores, BT2 stores, as well as online at brownthomas.com and arnotts.ie.
  3. The Brown Thomas e-Gift Card is not a credit card, charge card, or cheque guarantee card.
  4. The e-Gift Card is non-refundable and may not be exchanged for cash. Any residual balance remaining on the e-Gift Card following purchase of goods will remain on the e-Gift Card, to apply towards future purchases. 5.   4. Cafe Nero Gift Cards is valid for use for 5 years from the date of issue.
Clarks
  1. Clarks Gift Card can only be used in-store in the UK & ROI.
  2. This card cannot be exchanged for cash or vouchers. No change will be given but any remaining balance may be applied to future purchases.
  3. Clarks will not be liable for lost, stolen or damaged cards.
  4. Any leftover balance after using your Gift Card on a purchase will remain on the card for 5 years and can be used as payment on a future purchase.
Country Cottage Ballinlough
  1. Country Cottage Ballinlough Gift Card can be used at Country Cottage Ballinlough only.
  2. Opening times may vary at certain times of the year at Country Cottage Ballinlough so it is advisable to ring ahead and check.
  3. Please mention your Country Cottage Ballinlough Gift Card when making your booking.
  4. Your Gift Card is subject to availability.

  1. This gift entitles the bearer to a Currys PC World e-Gift Card.
  2. This gift card is open to Republic of Ireland residents.
  3. Gift cards purchased in Republic of Ireland can only be redeemed in Currys PC World locations in the Republic of Ireland.
  4. This card may not be exchanged for cash.
  5. No change will be given but any remaining balance may be applied to future purchases.
  6. Currys PC World will not be liable for lost, stolen or damaged cards.
  7. Currys PC World gift cards are valid for use for 5 years from the date of issue.
  8. Retail gift cards are sent via email once order has been placed.
  9. There are no refunds or returns on gift cards.
Dromhall Hotel
  1. This gift entitles the bearer to a Gift Card for Dromhall Hotel. This Gift Card is redeemable to use in Kayne's Bar & Brasserie in The Dromhall Hotel.
  2. This Gift Card is not valid to use for any special event menus such as NYE, Valentine or Taste the Island.
  3. Opening times may vary at certain times of the year at your chosen supplier so it is advisable to ring ahead and check.

Footlocker
  1. Footlocker Gift Cards can be used online or in-store.
  2. Footlocker Gift Cards may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash unless required by law.
  3. Footlocker Gift Cards may not be used to purchase another Gift Card.
  4. Footlocker Gift Cards are not replaceable if lost, stolen, or used by a third party without your permission.
  5. Footlocker Gift Cards have no expiry dates.
Global Experiences
  1. Search our database of over 350,000 tours, activities, and experiences worldwide by city and date. You may also apply filters to narrow your search by category or attraction.
  2. After choosing your experience, you will be asked to enter the 16 or 19-digit promotional code and 4 or 8-digit PIN on the gift card to apply the value to your booking. The balance, if necessary, can be paid with a major credit card. A maximum of four codes can be used per booking.
  3. Bookings will be confirmed by e-mail directly from Global Experiences Card and your experience will have a record of your booking. Please bring your printed or electronic confirmation to the tour, activity or experience.
  4. Please note that once your booking has been made, the details such as experience, date of activity, number of people, may not be changed. The booking may be cancelled, subject to the terms of the individual booking and experience. All cancellations must be made ONLINE ONLY at globalexperiencescard.com to receive a refund, subject to booking terms.
  5. Gift Cards have no value until activated. Gift cards are not credit or debit cards and have no implied warranties. Experience Gift Cards are redeemable for Experience and taxes only. The total price of your reservation is not guaranteed until the booking is confirmed. Gift Cards will not be redeemed or exchanged for cash, check or credit, except where required by law. Global Experiences Card does not replace lost, stolen, or damaged Gift Cards. If the experience booking price is greater than the value of the Gift Card, the difference must be paid with a major credit card at the time of booking.   6. Please read cancellation policies of individual experience carefully before booking. Please do not call the experience vendor directly to make changes to or cancel this reservation, as their agents will not be able to change or issue refunds to your gift card. Changes to the name on a reservation are not permitted after the booking is completed. No refunds for unused tickets, including those resulting from late arrival or no shows will be given. Global Hotel
  1. Search our hotel database in the currency of your gift card and book your hotel @ www.GlobalHotelCard.com
  2. Apply the 16 or 19-digit Gift Card Code and 4-8 digit Pin value as full or partial payment of the hotel reservation. You may combine up to four gift cards per reservation. Simply apply the value of your gift card for full or partial payment of the hotel reservation. The balance, if necessary, may be paid with a major credit card.
  3. Your reservations will be confirmed by email directly from Global Hotel Card and the hotel’s central reservation system will have a record of your booking. At check-in simply present your identification for the pre-paid reservation. A major credit card will be required by the hotel for charges other than the pre-paid room and tax. You may be required to post a refundable security deposit or may local municipal tax depending on hotel policy.
  4. Global Hotel Cards are Powered by Expedia and can only be used and redeemed for hotel reservations made online at www.GlobalHotelCard.com website (in currency of gift card issued), and not redeemable at Expedia.com. If the hotel reservation price is less than the value of the card(s), the remaining portion will be available for a future reservation. If the reservation price is greater than the value of the card(s), the difference must be paid with a credit card at the time of booking. All reservations require a major credit card to complete the reservation. Must be 18 years of age or older. Up to four (4) cards may be redeemed per reservation. You may cancel your reservation ONLINE only with no penalty IF the cancellation is done online at globalhotelcard.com and is within the rules of the HOTEL’s cancellation policy. The value of your Gift Card and payment on your credit card will be reinstated within 5-7 business days of confirmation that the reservation was cancelled within the rules

H&M
  1. The H&M e-Gift Card can be used online, or any H&M store in the Republic of Ireland.
  2. You can use your H&M e-Gift Card to make full or partial payments. Your desired amount will be deducted from your card and any remaining balance will be displayed on your receipt.
  3. The H&M e-Gift Card can be used until the balance of the card is zero.
  4. H&M cannot be held liable for H&M e-Gift Card or H&M Merchandise Cards once activated, which subsequently are lost, stolen, inactivated or damaged. Treat your H&M e-Gift Card and H&M Merchandise Cards as cash.
  5. H&M e-Gift Cards can only be used in the country where it was purchased.
  6. H&M e-Gift Cards expire after 5 years.

Terms and Conditions – Free Return European Flight Voucher
  1. This promotion is operated and administered by Sweete in conjunction with travel partner Best4Travel, TA 0702.
  2. This Promotion is open to Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 years and over.
  3. The free European return flight voucher entitles the bearer to one return economy flight for one adult including airport taxes and charges to one of the following destinations: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan and Paris.
  4. You must provide an email address and mobile number on your flight application form.
  5. Only one free return flight voucher is allowed per person, per household and per booking. Multiple voucher holders cannot travel together.
